PLEASANT CITY, Ohio – A 3.1 magnitude earthquake shook a part of southeast Ohio Thursday afternoon, just two days after another of the same magnitude occurred near the same area.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, this quake occurred around 3:15 p.m. near Pleasant City, Ohio, which is south of Cambridge in Guernsey County. It's depth was around 2.1 miles.

A 3.1 earthquake is considered "weak," according to the Ohio Geological Survey. At this intensity, they say it can be felt by people inside and especially those on upper stories. Cars may also shake.

Tuesday's 3.1 magnitude earthquake happened shortly after 4 a.m. just east of Zanesville and south of Cambridge along I-77, near Senecaville Lake.
