WILMINGTON, N.C. -- Buckle up horror fans! The knife-wielding maniac Michael Myers is back and he's heading to the Port City.

According to the Facebook page 'Keep NC Film', the sequel to 2018's reboot of the "Halloween" franchise will be shooting in Wilmington.

 

 

So far, there has been no word on when filming will begin.

The 2018 "Halloween" film took in an impressive $255 million at the box office, making it the highest grossing entry in the long-running horror franchise.

 

 

According to an annoucement from Universal Pictures and Blumhouse, "Halloween Kills" will premiere in October 16, 2020.

Another follow-up entitled "Halloween Ends" will be released the following year in 2021.
