NORTH CAROLINA -- A fifth person has been arrested in the District 9 election fraud investigation.
Rebecca Thompson was arrested Thursday evening after turning herself in at the Bladen County Sheriff's Office.
Thompson has been charged with conspiracy to commit felonious obstruction of justice and possession of absentee ballots.
McCrae Dowless was the first to be arrested, but bonded out.

Caitlin Croom, Tonia Gordon and Matthew Mathis were also arrested earlier this week.

The investigation is ongoing and the new election for the district has been set for September 10.
