The couple got married on the Surf City Swing Bridge on its last day after 63 years in use.

Hundreds gathered to cheer on the couple, as well as say goodbye to the bridge.

“It’s the last day of the bridge and we wanted to make it the most memorable we could,” said Katrina Turner, the bride. “We were planning on getting married early next year and we thought, we could do this, so we put it together in five days and it was a wonderful turnout.”

Both the bride and groom are Topsail Island residents and have been together for three years.
