Saturday was a pretty rough weather day for parts of the region. Showers and thunderstorms were fairly widespread, and a few of those storms grew to severe limits. A couple of confirmed tornadoes occurred in Carteret County yesterday afternoon, and we continue that coverage for you on Spectrum News.

We had some areas of fog develop around a lot of the region last night into this morning. However, our Sunday weather is overall very nice with lots of sunshine and highs in the 60s.

Clouds will quickly roll back in tonight, and some showers are possible by late tonight.

Our Monday forecast will be highlighted by showers and the chance of a few storms. Highs will be mild tomorrow, some lower 70s even possible.

Tuesday through Thursday look pretty chilly and quiet. Temperatures will run well below average for the end of November in spite of plenty of sunshine each day.

Our next system will then roll in by the end of the week. There remains some timing differences with that system between our model guidance, so for now, I will mention at least some small shower chances Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
