As the 2018 World Cup kicks off, especially, local fans are paying more attention. 

Additionally. WakeMed Soccer Park will host the 2018 Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) Qualifiers as players prepare for the 2019 World Cup, which will be played in France.

This marks the first time that WakeMed will host a meaningful match for the USA Women's National team. 

WakeMed Soccer Park will also host the North Carolina Soccer Coaches Association (NCSCA) and the South Carolina Coaches Association (SCSCA) for the annual Clash of Carolinas High School Senior All Star Games on June 30, 2018.

Cary also has the lowest cost in the nation for season tickets for a National Womenโ€™s Soccer League and has placed fourth for the highest stadium capacity in the nation.

North America has been named the location of the 2026 World Cup soccer, a definite location will be narrowed down closer to the date of the World Cup.
