NORTH CAROLINA -- If you bought pre-cut melon in a clear plastic container, federal health officials say you should get rid of it.

  • The products include watermelon, honeydew melon, cantaloupe and fresh cut fruit medley products by Caito Foods LLC
  • At least 60 people have been infected
  • Melons can be found in a variety of stores

The CDC has issued a salmonella warning on pre-cut watermelon, honeydew melon, cantaloupe and fresh cut fruit medley products distributed by Caito Foods LLC.

The recalled products were distributed in eight states including North Carolina, and at least 60 people have been infected.

The product can be found at Costco, Jay C, Kroger, Sprouts, Trader Joe's, Walgreens, Walmart and Whole Foods/Amazon.
