Low pressure over the northeast Gulf of Mexico and northern Florida is delivering an abundance of tropical into the Carolinas. This wet weather pattern will be with us for the rest of the week, into the weekend and probably into the start of next week.

During this time, most the state will see at least two to four inches of rain with locally higher amounts possible especially across the mountains and along the coast.

The threat for severe weather appears low at this time, but an isolated storm or two could produce gusty winds in addition to the localized downpours. We may be dealing with some flooding issues by the time the weekend arrives.
