Sunday’s storms will give way to a calm forecast for the work week.

A line of storms that moved east across the state Sunday was responsible for many reports of wind damage, large hail and a tornado near Greensboro. We also saw heavy rain bring localized flooding in some areas.

The cold front that that brought our unsettled weather has pushed off shore and high pressure will build in for a breezy and cooler Monday.

Warmer weather returns midweek as clear skies continue across the Tar Heel State. Our next chance of rain looks to be towards the end of next weekend.
