HYDE COUNTY, N.C. -- A farm in Hyde County recalled more than 200 million of their eggs from across the country.

A salmonella outbreak was linked to the eggs Rose Acre Farms produces. 22 illnesses have been reported.

The states impacted include North and South Carolina, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia. Symptoms of salmonella includes fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain.     

Consumers who have purchased eggs in these areas are encouraged to return them for a full refund.
