NEW BERN, N.C. -- If you drive in downtown New Bern, then you know parking can be a bit of a challenge. City officials are working to find some solutions to create more space.

One plan, includes enforcing a two hour parking limit.

If approved, parking enforcement officers will be hired to work during the daytime on week days.

Currently, there are 200 free parking spaces a day in downtown New Bern, but city officials say they need to do a better job with signage to let people know the spots are there.
