Marquis Dixon, the local man who became the face behind the Raise the Age Movement, is once again facing charges.
The 19-year-old Dixon was charged with menacing and criminal possession of a weapon on Saturday.
According to the police report, Dixon threatened a victim with a steak knife, allegedly telling her he will kill her.
Albany police confirm the victim was Dixon's mother.
This comes less than a month after he was arrested for allegedly trying to spend a fake $20 at a store in Albany.
For that he was charged with possessing a forged instrument and petit larceny.
When Dixon was 16, he was tried as an adult for stealing a pair of sneakers. He was convicted and sentenced to 9 years in prison.
That sparked outrage and calls for change from criminal justice reform groups.
Dixon was released from prison after the Appellate Division of state Supreme Court reversed his sentence and resentenced him to one to three years, saying he should've been tried as a teen.
