We’re wrapping up the day for you with the most important stories you need to know and your weather outlook.

Your Weather Planner

Showers are marching north and expected to reach the area by Thursday morning. Be prepared for a nasty morning commute. Although this system is not tropical, we'll have the heavy rain and sometimes gusty winds that weaker systems often produce.

Temperatures will drop only to the middle and upper 60s by sunrise because of the rain and clouds with humid conditions. We also won't see the temperatures change much throughout the day with the rain keeping things cool. We'll only warm up into the middle and upper 70s in the afternoon.

Showers and storms will gradually depart in the evening, leaving us with a slight chance for a stray shower Friday.

Scattered storms will return this weekend with a risk for some to become severe.
