Voting in the 2020 election is officially over, but a number of races in North Carolina and across the country are still too close to call.

On this post-election episode of Tying It Together With Tim Boyum, Tim and Ben sit down with Morgan Jackson, a Democratic consultant, and Jonathan Felts, former White House political director for the George W. Bush administration, to help make sense of it all.

Felts and Jackson explain why North Carolina proved once again it can be one of the most difficult states to predict for election outcomes. We break down the nature of the “Trump-Cooper voter,” and how the COVID-19 pandemic, economy, and social unrest impacted the outcome of some of the state and nation’s top races.

Later, each expert gives their prediction for where the country stands six months from now.
