CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Carolina Panthers have decided to part ways with offensive coordinator Joe Brady.

The announcement was made after the Panthers say Brady met with head coach Matt Rhule Sunday morning.

"I met with Joe this morning and informed him that I have decided to make a change," Rhule said in a statement posted by the Panthers. "I'm very grateful to him for his time and effort in helping us get established over this past year and a half."

Brady has been with the Carolina Panthers since January 2020 when he was hired after completing his first and only season with LSU, which ended in a national championship.

The Panthers say senior offensive assistant Jeff Nixon will work with other offensive coaching staff to coordinate the offense for the remainder of the season.

The team has five games remaining on the schedule, including matchups against the Atlanta Falcons, New Orleans Saints, Buffalo Bills and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
