CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Federación Mexicana de Fútbol (FMF) and Soccer United Marketing (SUM) announced Monday the 2020 #MexTour will kick off on Thursday, March 26 in Charlotte.

  • The last time the Mexican National Team played in Charlotte, roughly 60,000 fans were in attendance.

The game will be played at Bank of America Stadium in Uptown. The Mexican National Team will then head to Dallas, Texas on Sunday, March 29 for a game at AT&T Stadium.

Opponents, kickoff times, and additional matches for the 2020 Mexican National Team U.S. Tour will be announced at a later date. Officials say the teams are however, expected to bring their top rosters as the games will be played during the March FIFA dates.

The City of Charlotte and Bank of America Stadium last hosted the Mexican National Team on June 23, 2019 where they defeated Martinique 3-2 in a first round Gold Cup match. Officials say nearly 60,000 fans attended that game.

The city and stadium have hosted Mexico on several occassions since 2010, including #MexTour and Concacaf Gold Cup matches.

Tickets for the Charlotte and Dallas matches will go on sale to the general public on Monday, December 9 at 10 a.m. and can be purchased at MexTour.org.
