CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- For the first time in 20 years, North Carolina will travel to the west coast when they open their season on the road at Cal-Berkley. The Heels are already being put behind the eight ball when it comes to injuries.

  • 2018 is not off to a good start for UNC
  • Running back Michael Carter is reportedly out with a broken wrist
  • Coach Fedora is being quiet about details

Coming off a year where North Carolina's roster was a mash unit suffering more than two dozen injuries, 2018 is not off to a good start. Potential starting running back Michael Carter is reportedly out with a broken wrist and of course the word is "mum" when Head Coach Larry Fedora was asked about the knee injury suffered by starting defensive tackle Aaron Crawford last week.

Giving their opponents an advantage is not something Fedora is interested in, which is why his methods of confidentiality with his program will never change. Fedora goes on to say, "Yeah, we're pretty paranoid. I don't like that our opponent knows as much as I do about our football team. I don't like that. So, I don't see a reason why you should give your opponent any advantage whatsoever when they prepare for you."
