CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- The Diamond Heels held their final media availability before heading off to Omaha for their 11th college World Series in program history.

Carolina will meet Oregon State in their first match up for what will be a double elimination between the four teams in their bracket.

They'll be joined by Mississippi State and Washington, and the winner will advance to a best 2 out of 3 series for the national championship against the other half of the bracket.

Head Coach Mike Fox has held one of the most consistent programs during his two decades in Chapel Hill and his players want to help reward him by bringing him the program's first-ever national championship.

"There's nothing that I would want more, as well as a lot of other players on this team, than to give Coach Fox and the rest of the coaching staff in this university a national championship," said first baseman Michael Busch. "It's going to be tough, but at the end of the day I think when you start playing for something bigger than yourself, that's when you can really do some damage."
