RALEIGH, N.C. – North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper made a special announcement Thursday afternoon.

On Twitter, he let North Carolinians know that his name will be on the ballot in 2020 as he’s recently filed for reelection as governor.

“Together we’ve created tens of thousands of jobs. We’ve implemented a real plan to fight climate change. I have vetoed right-wing social legislation. We’re fighting for public schools, getting our teachers real pay raises, fighting for Medicaid expansion for hundreds of thousands of North Carolinians. We’re putting Northing Carolinians on the path to progress. I am so excited and fired up,” he said in the video.

He’s also asking for the help of his supporters.
