CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Queen City is welcoming Gov. Roy Cooper today.

He is visiting the Centene Corporation's new east coast headquarters and delivering remarks for the company's dedication ceremony. The new headquarters is part of a $1billion investment deal that's initially expected to create more than 3,200 new jobs.

After that, the new building is supposed to generate more than 6,000 new jobs with construction of the facility being broken-up into two phases.

Work on the project began back in August of last year. Gov. Cooper is supposed to be in town at around 11 a.m.
