CONCORD, N.C. -- A Concord staple is now left in rubble after a fire ripped through the building early Wednesday morning.
Calls about a fire at Concord Diner reportedly came in at around 5 a.m., according to the Concord Fire Department. Flames were spotted coming from the roof.

Officials say there wasn't anyone inside at the time and there are no known injuries. There are no details regarding what could have sparked the incident. The restaurant released a statement on Facebook asking community members for prayers.

The flames were so large that part of NC Highway 73 and Highway 49 were shutdown.
