CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Union Digital Marketing and Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority partnered to create an online trail guide of the city.

What You Need To Know

  • CRVA and Union Digital Marketing developed a trail guide of the city

  • Six trails are featured in the online tool

  • The tool guides users with real-time navigation

The website Charlottesgotalot.com gives you six trail options covering 22 miles of the city. The online tool guides users with real-time navigation as they walk or bike the trail of their choice.

Union Digital Marketing Senior Delivery Manager Kelly Walker, who helped create the online tool, uses it often.

“I quickly realized that I would probably be one of the end users of this experience because it’s something that I can see myself using in the future,” Walker said.

The trails are in Midtown, South End, Uptown, West Charlotte, South Charlotte, and University City.

“We wanted to give residents and visitors something positive where they could experience Charlotte in a healthy and safe way with all these various trails,” CRVA’s Director of Brand Marketing Laura White said.

Each trail lists points of interest, public art, and businesses, which White said can be beneficial.

“During COVID businesses have really been struggling and looking for opportunities to share their story. We are pleased to be able to offer this resource,” White said.

The guide helped Walker find a new restaurant, and she anticipates it will lead to more adventures.

More trail options in Charlotte are expected to be released this spring and summer.
