SALISBURY, N.C. – The Salisbury Police Department says two suspicious packages found at the Rowan County Health Department Tuesday have been cleared. No hazard was found.

The bomb squad responded to the area to investigate and remove the packages. Police say they were found to contain only personal items, clothing, and toiletries.

The packages prompted a shutdown of the county's social services and health department offices. Police also shut down both Faith Road and Innes Street from Avalon Drive to Jake Alexander Boulevard.

Both the area and offices have since reopened following the investigation and all clear.
