CLAYTON, N.C. -- A heart for helping others. That’s the foundation that Riverside Ranch is based on.
Its 36 acres are used as a therapeutic horse riding facility.
The founder of the ranch, Sarah Valentine, says for people who are confronting grief and other difficult situations, the experience of learning to ride a horse can be very beneficial.
Currently there are two horses at the ranch, Ja-Rule and Bullet. Valentine describes them as being able to feel and react to people’s emotions.
In that way, she says they are able to help those people.
Valentine says they also plan to expand the ranch in the future by adding riding trails.
