 According to research, Wallethub says Raleigh is the 15th best city for pet owners when it comes to pet affordability, healthcare rates, and friendliness.

The ranking comes from averaging scores for Pet Budget, which Raleigh scored 19, Pet Health & Wellness, which Raleigh scored 10,  and Outdoor Pet-Friendliness, which Raleigh scored 83.

Another reason Raleigh is a pet paradise could be the many state parks such as Lake Johnson State Park, Falls Lake State Recreation Area, and William B. Umstead State Park, which all offer pet-friendly walking trails.
