NORTH CAROLINA – A new integrated career information system will give state residents a one-stop resource to explore new career paths and job opportunities.

Gov. Roy Cooper praised the new portal, NCcareers.org, on Wednesday during its introduction at the annual Career & Technical Education Conference.

“North Carolinians need resources to navigate the quickly changing job market,” Cooper said. “The new NCcareers.org helps people research the education and training options that lead them to find good, high paying jobs available right now across our state.”

The portal will offer skills and interest assessments for people in all stages of their careers, according to a release, while also giving job seekers a chance to explore new occupations and local job openings. The system can also identify education and training opportunities tailored to the individual's career interest.
