CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Most days you can find Jeremy Coffey heading into the gym at Crossfit Mecklenburg.

So when COVID-19 shut down the gym, it wasn't a surprise to find him still working out. But the workouts aren't just for him.

For the past month, Coffey has set up his rowing machine once a week at a different Charlotte location.

He rows half marathons, and they take about an hour and a half each. He broadcasts them live on Facebook and asks people to donate.

Each week it's for a diffearent cause, from Block Love Charlotte, which benefits people who are homeless, to hair salons and even his gym.

Coffey is also the founder of the non-profit Good Soles, which provides boots and shoes to people transitioning out of homelessness. It's given out more than 2,000 pairs.
