A film will premiere in Charlotte Thursday that tells the story of an Apache pilot deploying to Afghanistan.

"Above the Best" is a documentary that offers real life footage of pilot Daniel Flores.

The combat in the documentary isn't at all acted out, it's real, showcasing just how extreme situations can become in seconds.

Spectrum News spoke to Flores about some of his experiences, such as suffering from anxiety and PTSD.

He says he hopes by telling his story and through the film, veterans can find comfort in sharing their experiences and civilians can grasp a better understanding of life overseas.

Tickets for the showing of "Above the Best" are on sale now. You can purchase them here.

The movie will premiere at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Regal Cinemas at Phillips Place.

The ticket also gets you into the post-movie "meet and greet" with special guests from the film and enters you in a raffle.

All proceeds go to the Seal Family Foundation.
