Tuesday will be a cloudy day with some patchy light showers and drizzle possible. Highs will be fairly warm, despite the cloud cover, with temperatures set to warm into the low to mid 70s east of the mountains.

Rain chances increase Wednesday as moisture from the Gulf of Mexico returns to the region. This will be ahead of a cold front set to move in Thursday afternoon and evening for Halloween. Ahead of this, rain will be likely especially late in the afternoon and evening along with a few thunderstorms as the front moves eastward. Currently, the Storm Prediction Center has put a Level 1 risk for severe weather in place for Thursday for our entire viewing area. Trick-or-treaters, unfortunately, will need to prepare for a wet, rainy, and perhaps stormy Halloween evening.

By Friday, the front will be to the east of the area, ushering in a dry and much cooler airmass. In fact, even with sunshine returning for the weekend, highs will only be in the 50s to low 60s!
