Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy lawyers say units have multiple housing code violations.
The center says it has more than 100 people affected and they're filing a class action lawsuit against the property.
They're encouraging people to not sign any agreement with the management until they've spoken to a lawyer.
“They're concerned that it's just not enough time and many of them are facing homelessness or they're facing the threat of having to move their family into a hotel room just as school is starting," Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy Attorney Natalia Botella said.
