GREENSBORO, N.C. – Members and allies of the LGBTQ+ community in Greensboro will soon have a new place to gather.

  • Greensboro is getting a new LGBT Center in downtown.
  • It will be bigger than the old one.
  • It will also be more accessible .

Construction has begun downtown on North Green Street on the Guilford Green Foundation’s new LGBTQ Center.

The new center will be larger and more current than the current center, and boasts more accessibility with its ground floor location.

According to the foundation, the new center will be a 1,800 square-foot space with a new kitchen, lighting, carpeting, furniture, and paint.

The foundation is trying to raise $60,000 for the renovation and is offering donors the added perk of having their name displayed on the new center if they donate more than $100.
