Groups are meeting at statehouses, town squares, and courthouses to speak out in almost all 50 states.

Fifty plus organizations are taking place in the Day of Action Tuesday.

In the Triad, rallies are being held at the Greensboro Governmental Plaza and in Winston-Salem.

The organizations sponsoring those events are the Stop the Bans! and the Greensboro Reproductive Justices Advocates.

The American Civil Liberties Union is also involved in several other rallies throughout the country.

In the Triangle, there's one taking place in Chapel Hill, while in Charlotte, protests took place downtown.

Those in the Queen City gathered at the Government Center. At times those from both sides of the debate came face to face, yelling their opinions at each other. Luckily, about two dozen CMPD officers were present to keep the peace.

Last month, Governor Roy Cooper vetoed North Carolina's Born Alive Bill, which would allow police to charge doctors if they do not provide care for infants born after botched abortions. An override bill is on the house's calender for Wednesday but there's no guarantee there will be a vote.
