CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- After a day back into the mid-80s Tuesday, expect a repeat of the same weather Wednesday for the first day of May.

  • Highs will soar back into the mid and upper 80s under mostly sunny skies
  • Thursday will bring another day of similarly warm temperatures, but will feature a chance of scattered showers and storms in the mountains
  • By Friday, a cold front will begin nearing our area from the west. This will bring a chance for showers and storms back into the Piedmont for Friday

Highs will soar back into the mid and upper 80s under mostly sunny skies. Lows will only cool into the 60s overnight as another round of low level clouds is set to build in.

Thursday will bring another day of similarly warm temperatures, but will feature a chance of scattered showers and storms in the mountains. Humidity will continue to creep up each day into the end of the work week.

By Friday, a cold front will begin nearing our area from the west. This will bring a chance for showers and storms back into the Piedmont for Friday afternoon that will persist into both days of the weekend. The June-like warmth is set to continue for the next several days!
