YORK COUNTY, N.C. – The York County Coroner’s Office has identified two teenagers who died in a fiery crash Thursday during a police chase.
- Two teens died following a police chase Thursday.
- The chase started on I-77 in Charlotte.
- The car was stolen.
Officials say the driver of that car was Kamontie Gross, 19, and Aniyah Taylor, 17.
The vehicle Gross was driving had been stolen from a neighborhood off Central Avenue.
The car was spotted in Charlotte and when police attempted to stop it, Gross took off down I-77, eventually crashing.
