WILSON, N.C. – Students and faculty at Fike High School in Wilson are in mourning after the sudden loss of one of their teachers.

  • Mrs. Pamela Eatmon, a teacher at Fike High School, died suddenly Tuesday.
  • She was 46 years old.
  • She had taught in Wilson County for 20 years. 

According to officials, Mrs. Pamela Eatmon taught in the Wilson school district for two decades and was a family and consumer science teacher at Fike for 10 years.

Students took to social media Tuesday to express their grief for the beloved educator using hashtag #LiveLikeEatmon. Students are also asking those who want to honor Eatmon to wear purple Thursday at school.

 

 

 

Eatmon’s death was the result of a murder-suicide involving her husband Tuesday night just before 11 in her home. It's currently unclear the circumstances surrounding the the death investigation.

 

 

Counselors have been assigned to the school to help students and teachers.
