CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Rain will develop through Saturday morning and should be active through the afternoon hours.

  • A few small breaks in the precipitation will be possible
  • Skies should clear Sunday afternoon and evening
  • Temperatures will warm starting Tuesday afternoon

A few small breaks in the precipitation will be possible at times Saturday afternoon.

The main rain "event" hits late Saturday night through Sunday morning.  Rain will be heavy at times with the heaviest of the rain moving East, and out, by sunrise Sunday.  Mountain counties will see a change over to wintry precipitation Sunday morning prior to clearing skies Sunday afternoon.

As mentioned, skies should clear Sunday afternoon and evening. Cold Arctic air moves in and we feel the big ticket cold early Monday AM and through the day; temps struggle to hit the upper 30s Monday afternoon.

Temperatures will warm starting Tuesday afternoon.  Rain expected later next week.
