GREENSBORO, N.C. -- A moist storm system moving in Saturday combines with the cold air in place to set us up for wintry weather this weekend.
- Few flurries and sprinkles possible Saturday morning
- Cold rain for most Sunday
- Few flurries Monday morning
Not as cold overnight into Saturday morning as clouds increase across the region; look for temperatures drop to the mid to upper 20s. A few flurries or sprinkles are possible Saturday morning, but with dry air still in place most precipitation will not make it to the surface.
As moisture increases from the southwest a wintry mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain will develop as we head into Saturday night, continuing into Sunday morning. There will be a transition to cold rain for most, and a wintry mix northwest Sunday.
As the system lifts north, we begin to dry out Monday. We may see a few flurries Monday morning.
