UNION COUNTY, N.C. – The Union County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after three people were bit by a dog early Thursday morning.

  • Deputies responded to a dog attack call in Indian Trail Thursday morning.
  • It happened around 4 a.m.
  • In all, two dogs injured three people, including a deputy. 

Authorities say they responded to a dog attack call in the 6600 block of 1st Avenue in Indian Trail around 4 a.m. involving two dogs.

The attack happened near the intersection of Independence Boulevard and Indian Trail Fairview Road, close to Metrolina Christian Academy and the Village of Lake Park. 

We are told, in all, one person, the owner of the home, and the responding deputy were all injured.

The deputy was treated for their injuries and released. The homeowner and primary victim were transported to CMC Main with unknown injuries.

It is unclear at this time what happened to the dogs.
