CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Police are investigating a deadly shooting in southwest Charlotte that has left one man dead.

  • One man is dead in a shooting in southwest Charlotte.
  • It started on Axminster Court but the victim was found at a QuikTrip.
  • No arrests have been made.

Police say this all started on Axminster Court, but the victim was found at a gas station.

Police say the victim was brought to the QuikTrip gas station in the 7100 of South Boulevard. The call came in just before 11 p.m. Tuesday night.

Officers responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call. Police say the victim died at the hospital. He has been identifed as 21-year-old Juforest Hicks. 

No arrests have been made. Anyone with information about what happened is asked to call police.
