RANDLEMAN, N.C. -- A Randleman woman is facing charges after more than 40 animals were seized during a search of her home.

Janet Jones faces charges of animal cruelty. Authorities say the animals at her home on Kings Ride Road were living in deplorable conditions among feces, urine, and trash -- in a poorly ventilated environment.

The animals have since been moved to the Randolph County Animal Shelter.

Jones is currently being held under a $5,000 bond.
