NORTH CAROLINA -- There are still a few more days to cast your ballot early for this year's midterm election and, so far, voters have made their presence known at the polls.

  • The State Board of Elections says more than 1.2 million North Carolinians have already voted early
  • That's up by about 4.5 percent, compared to the turnout for early voting in the 2014 midterm
  • Early voting wraps up Saturday, November 3

The State Board of Elections says more than 1.2 million North Carolinians have already voted early during this election season.

That's up by about 4.5 percent, compared to the turnout we saw during the early voting period for the 2014 midterm election.

However, while early voting numbers may be up, there are more than seven million registered voters in North Carolina.

That means there are about six million people that have yet to cast their ballot.

Haven't registered yet? No worries, you can still do so during the early voting period.

Early voting wraps up Saturday, November 3. You can stop by any voting site in the county but on November 6, you'll have to vote at your specific precinct.
