CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA – An 81-year-old woman is recovering after police say she was shot in the leg Tuesday night.
The scariest part, police say her house was targeted and the woman is lucky to be alive.
The incident occurred near the 1200 block of Harrill Street.
When police arrived, officers observed that one of the apartments in the complex had been shot into multiple times.
The woman was transported by MEDIC to CMC-Main, where she was treated for a non-life threatening injury.
