Wake Forest ended their two game losing streak in a big way.

The Demon Deacons led 42-3 at halftime. Freshman quarterback Sam Hartman bounced back from last weeks loss to Notre Dame with a 15-17, 241 yard 4-touchdown performance. Greg Dortch had an impressive 11 reception, 163 yard 4-touchdown showing.

The biggest storyline coming into the match up was about the defense. Defensive coordinator Jay Sawvel was fired after last weeks loss. The defense allowed 133 yards on 39 plays in the first half. The Demon Deacons forced 3 turnovers, returning a interception and fumble return for touchdowns.

The second half wasn't as productive, but when you have a 39 point lead heading into halftime, you take advantage and get some second and third string players experience. It worked the same way on offense with Kendall Hinton getting some time at quarterback and redshirt freshman running back Christian Beal-Smith getting 9 carries for 60 yards to lead a rushing attack.

Wake Forest will now get ready for Clemson for a conference match up next Saturday.

Sam Hartman 15/17 241 yards 4 TD

Greg Dortch  11 receptions 163 yards 4 TD
