CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- After a drier day Thursday, we're back with the late afternoon and evening storm chances Friday into the weekend as a frontal boundary settles across the area.

  • Late afternoon and evening storm chances are possible.
  • The weekend also will have a daily chance fors torms.
  • Monday, another distrurbance will come through, followed by drier air.

Friday, like the first half of the work week, will feature a rebound in opportunities for showers and storms across the region. As a cold front pushes through then stalls across the area during the day, disturbances riding along it each and everyday through the weekend will allow for the daily chance for storms we saw Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of this week. Humidity, because of that, will remain high with daytime highs topping off in the upper 80s to low 90s.

By Monday, another disturbance passing through will be followed by some drier air, allowing for dry weather with ample amounts of sunshine to return by Tuesday of next week.
