CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Police have closed a portion of Steele Creek Road at Westinghouse Boulevard because of a crash.

They say a tractor-trailer hit a low hanging power line this morning around 4:30 a.m.

After hitting the pole police say the driver got out, and was then hit by a passing car.

He is being treated for life-threatening injuries.
