FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. --  Twenty men and women have been arrested and charged following an undercover human trafficking operation in Fayetteville. 

Members of the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office Human Trafficking Unit, U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command at Fort Bragg, North Carolina State Bureau of Investigations, Federal Bureau of Investigation and 5 Sparrows Anti-Human Trafficking Organization conducted an undercover operation at a local hotel to identify potential victims of human trafficking and persons engaging in illegal prostitution.  

 

During the operation, which took place on March 16, 20 were arrested for a total of 29 misdemeanor and felony charges.
