CHARLOTTE – A seven-year-old girl is working to unite police officers and community members with a Peace Party.
Dozens of residents, Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officers and their families gathered at Nevin Community Park Sunday afternoon for the event.
Brooklyn Jones says she wanted to host the Peace Party to remind police officers and community members that everyone is human.
Brooklyn says she's now working on putting together an animal care party.
