ROCK HILL - Police in York County are investigating a deadly shooting.
It happened Sunday at a home on Amelia Avenue.
Police say a 3-year-old boy, identified as Sa'vion Barrow, was shot. They say Barrow was at home with his mom and 10-year-old sister when he somehow got a hold of the gun and shot himself.
Authorities believe it was his parents' gun but aren't sure, at this point, where it was kept in the house or how the boy was able to get it.
Barrow was taken to Piedmont Medical Center with a gunshot wound and pronounced dead at the hospital.
Police say there could be charges filed in this case, potentially a neglect charge, because of some child safety laws in place.
No charges have been filed at this time.
