RALEIGH, N.C. - Business is booming for a Raleigh-based food truck after opening just three years ago.

Oak City Fish & Chips just opened a new brick and mortar location over the summer and next month a second restaurant will open in Southeast Raleigh.

From shrimp, to calamari, to fries, the authentic spice blend from Oak City Fish & Chips takes their seafood to the next level.

Isaac B. Horton is a Raleigh native and the managing partner of Oak City Fish & Chips. He said a void in the seafood market sparked his interest for the concept.

“It took off in a major way. The secret behind how we got started is based on two proprietary spice blends I created.  One you taste on the french fries and the other on the hush puppies and then one that you taste on the seafood,” Horton said.

In August, Horton opened a brick and mortar location inside Raleigh’s Morgan Street Food Hall.

An additional location will open in Southeast Raleigh this December.
