Details from the Downtown Business Association:

A thick, ominous fog has settled over Watertown, bringing a sprinkling of terror along with it. The Halloween season has officially arrived with the howls and screams from the Haunted Paddock Arcade.

The historic Paddock Arcade in downtown Watertown is transformed into a spooky Haunted House, the north country’s original and best haunted house, for two weekends in October. The Haunted Paddock Arcade, a family-friendly activity, is open Friday, Oct. 21 and 28 from 6 to 9 p.m., and Oct. 22 and 29 from 1 to 4 p.m. and 5 to 9 p.m. Admission is $5 per person.

A children’s costume contest will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 29, inside the Paddock Arcade. Prizes will be awarded and candy will be provided to all participants. The event is free to attend.

More than 50 volunteers from American Kang Duk Won Karate school and the community perform as ghosts, witches and goblins in the Haunted Paddock Arcade.

The Haunted Paddock Arcade, which started in downtown Watertown in 1982, is sponsored by the American Kang Duk Won Karate school and Watertown Downtown Business Association.
